Nature of pain?: Left sided pain in a male could be a hernis, kidney stone, diverticular disease, pancreatitis and even just gas or constipation. We look at the location, the type of pain, lab tests, x-rays and, of course, examine the patient. There are lots of other possibilities as well. If pain gets worse or does not just go away you should see your doctor.
