Causes: If i had a patient with foot drop and B12 deficiency, i would look at chronic alcoholism as a cause. If the foot drop isn't caused by B12 and it's just an unrelated finding, i'd look at multiple sclerosis, or charcot-marie tooth. You may need emg.

No : B12deficiency causes problems in sensation and position sense. Foot drop come from problems in motor function; different parts ofnerves, different causes . Drop foot more commonly from sciatic or peroneal nerve problems, e g. Disc issues ( among others).
