Can a low b12 level cause drop foot?

Not likely: Usual, cause is from lower back issues or the deep peroneal nerve directly.

Causes: If i had a patient with foot drop and B12 deficiency, i would look at chronic alcoholism as a cause. If the foot drop isn't caused by B12 and it's just an unrelated finding, i'd look at multiple sclerosis, or charcot-marie tooth. You may need emg.
