It is safe.: The only potential problem with donating too often is developing iron deficiency from the loss of blood. The blood bank checks before taking blood to be sure you are not anemic. If you plan to donate frequently, taking a multi-vitamin with iron is probably a good idea. You are definitely saving lives when you donate blood.
