Is it normal for an ankle to be painful and swollen 6 months after a break? mine has pitted swelling and it's painful to walk.

Follow up : With your doc as we don't know how bad the break was and if fully healed.....

6 months: It depends on what type of break you had but if you are otherwise healthy i would expect it should be healed and without the pitting edema. See your surgeon.

Fracture: As the other doc's said - see your surgeon as they know the fracture site , etc. Good luck.
