A member asked:

I've been blowing my nose all the time (due to allergies, reflux, congestion, etc.) i'm worried because it causes my stomach to tighten up every time i have to blow it. could this harm the fetus?

Nose: Blowing nose is not recommended in nonpregnant . It could cause nose bleeds. Just wipe secretions coming out.

No: Your babies well insulated by the bag of waters against the pressure wave a sneeze transfers to your belly. You may want to invest in an office visit with your pcp and discuss a netty pot or nasal steroid you could use to reduce your symptoms.

Uncommon: You need to consult your doctor re. These issues since the the stomach-nose link is very unusual.
