Medical therapy: Chronic sinusitis should be treated with medical therapy that includes allergy medicines, irrigation, several weaks of antibiotics. If you are still having symptoms, then a ct of the sinuses will determine the extent of inflammation in the sinuses. Surgery can be offered if medicines have not helped. Surgery is not a cure but can help medicines work better. 90% of people are helped by surgery.
