It is normal: It is normal for our blood pressure to drop and our heart beat to increase when we get up from sitting position . The change should not be more than expected in physiologic change to adjust for positional change . A condition called orthostatic hypotension where by blood pressure drops by >15 and heart rate increases by >20. If that is the case , it indicate dehydration , medications and others
