Find a psychMD: Often primary care physicians have recommendations of psychiatrists they work with and trust. If you call the hospital in your region, usually there is a psychiatry service. They or their representative (psych emergency services team) usually have names of psychmds they recommend. Ask around as well. Ask people you trust if they have heard of a good psychiatrist in the area. Last resort check yelp.

Psychiatrists: Call the connecticut medical society, your insurance carrier and also there are psychiatry departments at yale and several of the other universities in your state. Of course it is always best to get a personal referral. Keep in mind that medication alone is not usually a solution, psychotherapy can be quite effective to curb anxiety. My best.
