Talking of periods: Using the phrase mid cycle to a doctor means you were past your period and close to ovulation. You begin counting the days of your cycle with day one being the day you start your period. Were you bleeding on a day you should not be bleeding? Did you expose yourself to fresh semen when you were ovulating?
