Not 1 per month: Normal periods come every 21-35 days. You ovaries do not follow a calendar. They do not know what day, week or month it is. Periods do not come once per month. They come every 21-35 days. Any relationship to an actual calendar is purely coincidental. Birth control is great at providing menstrual cycle control.
