At least 1000 mg: Vitamin c is extremely safe, so the worst that might happen from too much is loose stools. The vitamin c foundation recommends that 1 year olds take 1000 mg a day, 2 yo's take 2000 mg/day and those 3 and over take 3000 mg/day, best divided into 2 or doses throughout the day.
