Rage: I think you may be confusing dissociative identity disorder (did) w the defense mechanism called dissociation. Did is a complex & rare condition (requiring a number of diagnostic criteria). So, i can understand why you were told that you did not have it. However, if you are enraged you could dissociate (black out). This is dangerous - if you are not already in therapy - please look into it. You.
