Diet: Make sure diet includes fiber rich fruits and vegetables. I also recommend pear juice for constipated kids, just until the constipation resolves and then just as needed afterwards. I'm not a fan of a lot of juice as an every day thing, as they generally have a lot of sugar and very little nutritional value-kids are better off eating the fruit.
