Great question: The infections a paramedic is exposed to can be significant, so you have to think seriously about your risk when you are immunosuppressed on both Methotrexate and prednisone. If it is your passion to be a paramedic then speak with some of them for their opinions about their exposures. If you are already a paramedic then perhaps it would be better to transition to firefighting instead.

Immunosuppressants : These are mild immunosuppressants and at the dose used in RA they are safe . One can work in the field you mentioned. How ever it will be wise you check with your rheumatologist.
