With ckd is there a restraint on eating spicy foods?

Salt intake: It is not the spices but salt that you need to watch out for. You do need to watch other aspects of your diet and it would be helpful to consult a nutritionist.

No but . . .: Talk to your doctor about how much protein you should be consuming. Also make sure your blood pressure is optimally controlled, not just good enough. Also need to monitor your blood count, vitamin d, pth, etc. Chronic kidney disease now linked to heart disease so be sure you optimize all your cardiac risk factors. Your family doc & nephrologist can work together to keep you as healthy as possible.
