Undiagnosed disease: The reason the instructions on the bottle say to only take it 14 days is so that you see your doctor if you are still having GI symptoms after taking Prilosec for the 2 weeks. If you have an ulcer, severe reflux, gastritis, or some other condition that you treat by yourself then an undiagnosed condition could worsen without additional treatment.
