A member asked:

What is the best non-invasive test to look at the inside of arteries for plaque buildup? thanks!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ultrasound: Arterial plaque can be investigated with ultrasound of the carotid arteries, the abdominal aorta, or the leg arteries. Plaque in the coronary arteries can be inferred by presence of calcium seen on an ultrafast coronary artery ct scan. Those are all non-invasive.
