Yes: Home pregnancy tests are most accurate when used as instructed at least 4 weeks after last menstrual period. If you've late for your monthly period and 1st test is negative, wait a week and retest. In meantime, if you want to get pregnant, now is time to start taking prenatal vitamins to minimize risk for neural tube defects. Also go see your family doc for preconception counseling. Good luck!
