A member asked:

What to do if i feel like i am overweight, but i'm not sure if bone density is a part of the equation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Bone density is separate issue from being overweight. Typically people who weigh more tend to have normal bone density unless they have diabetes as skeleton usually has to be stronger to carry more weight. Diabetes either type 1 or type 2 can be associated with thin bones despite patient's weight.
