No : Bone density examines whether one needs treatment for osteoporosis which is usually done after age 50. Bone age exam assesses whether a child is developing the skeleton too fast or too slowly.

Bone density: determination and bone age determination are two separate tests, but most hospital imaging departments or outpatient imaging centers can probably do either one.
