Monitoring by your D: Your doctor can monitor you for any recurrence. This is commonly done during routine follow up at each 3 to 4 months when your doctor will do a physical exam, some blood tests and also x-rays of your body. All of this together , will reveal your body to be either free of cancer or a recurrence of tumor if it were to relapse. This is what oncologists do routinely once you have had cancer.

Usually asymptomatic: Generally metastatic disease is asymptomatic without signs or symptoms and will be picked up on surveillance imaging. However, you could have pain at the site of disease spread, fevers, cough and other problems related to the cancer at the specific site or causing an inflammatory reaction in the body.
