It depends: Bone cancer can be one of several different diseases. Accordingly you first need to get the correct diagnosis made which will require a specialist(orthopedic or oncologist) to do x-rays and a biopsy. Once the correct diagnosis is made you can be treated but this involves both specialists mentioned here. Most times it involves surgery to remove the cancer, often it is combined with chemotherapy.

Depends on the type : It depends on the type of bone cancer. We generally treat primary cancers of bone with a combination of chemotherapy with surgery with or without radiation therapy. That being said there are differences in the chemotherapy drugs used, the surgical and/or radiation approach depending on the subtype of bone cancer like osteosarcoma, ewing sarcom and chondrosarcoma.
