No answer: If you have gluten sensitivity, a gluten-free diet may actually allow you to gain weight back. If you don't have a gluten issue, then it will depend on what you eat instead. I would suspect that more people will likely lose weight since gluten in present in so many yummy foods which contribute to calories.
