Has it really been shown that guys lose weight when puberty is over?

Yes and no: Once we finish with puberty the urges to eat to fuel our growth do go away. On it's own this would mean that the "puppy fat" would go away. However, if we do not eat and exercise responsibly the weight will remain and continue to increase.
