Core work and diet: Strong abs and core muscles can be achieved through many types of exercise including traditional crunches, yoga, pilates, and weight training. A squat, for example, is an excellent exercise to improve core strength. Exposing the abs you are working for, however, requires a proper diet. You can't simply exercise your way to 6-pack abs.
