More info needed: It makes a big difference whether one or both kidneys are affected. If both, you will need to start dialysis of which there are two types in order to live. We cannot live without kidneys so medical advice is urgently needed. There is also possibility of getting a kidney transplant some to, e in the future.

Kidney Failure: The short answer is yes. The long answer is it all depends. If both of your kidneys are dying (failing) then you definetely need to be under the care of your own doctor and a kidney specialist. If only one kidney is dying, then the same applies but the good news here is that if your non-dying kidney is normal then it will completely take over for the one that is dying.
