In the absence: Of an overactive thyroid, there is no such thing as "fast" metabolism. People do burn off calories at different rates, but it is primarily related to body size, activity level, etc. You will gain one pound for each 3500 calories that you eat and don't burn off, but if you do not exercise, it will be stored as fat rather than muscle.
