Hygiene: The cleaner your teeth, the healthier your gums, the less uncomfortable braces placement will be. Have your teeth professionally cleaned by your dentist/hygienist. Then make sure to brush 2 full minutes 2x/day and especially to floss every day. Best if you see a qualified orthodontic specialist, and follow his/her instructions exactly, and you should be fine. Enjoy your new smile!
