Eustachian tube: A small tube goes from the back of your nose to your middle ear. It's called the eustachain tube. When you blow your nose hard, air moves up into your middle ear and pushes on your eardrum from the inside. It feels like your ear is popping. It's typically harmless. If pain persists or you have pus or blood draining from your ear, see a doc.

Eustachian tube: The ear and the nose are connected by a tube called the eustachian tube. When you blow your nose, the pressure can go up the eustachian tube and can cause the ear to pop. This is a normal phenomenon and is part of normal physiology.
