Green fingernail: Green under the nail is a sign of pseudomonas onycholysis. This is a condition where the nail is undermined by a bacterium. This bacterium makes a substance called pyocyanin, which is a green substance and indicates the presence of the certain bacterium as mentioned above. Much can be done to control this but often demands that the entire white edge is pared back.
