Visit provider: Usually once you stop breastfeeding milk production will slow and eventually stop on its own without the stimulation of the infant. If certain hormones are elevated it could cause continued production. You can also have part of a duct system that did not completely empty and get intermittent release from there that is not due to continued production. An exam and labs will provide more info.
