How will having heart attack affect my long-term health?

Variable: Heart attacks are like pickup trucks: some are itzy-bitzy and some are huge. Regardless of size, getting treatment, whether that's intervention (with a stent) or surgery (cabg), as well as using medications and changing life style to minimize the risk of a future heart attack will determine your long term health.

Feel encouraged!: Depends on the size of your heart attack, how fast you received treatment and how compliant you are with medications and following a healthy life style. Feel encouraged, you can do things to positively improve your health. Talk to your doctor about it.
