It is common: The normal cycle length for women is 28-31 days, but some women will have cycles that are a few days shorter or longer than that. Women in their 40's often get cycles that are closer together, even to every 21 days, or are further apart, such as yours. So long cycles are common, but usually means the hormones are off, and the woman isn't ovulating or is ovulating late.
