Do i need to report pelvic abscess as a long-term health condition, or does it go away after being treated?

Goes away: But would tell your gyn and any surgeon as it often leads to scarring in the area of the abscess.

Part of Med history: It usually does go away with treatment, but it remains as an important factor in your medical history. The fact that you have had a pelvic abscess would increase your risk for future infections, ectopic pregnancy, pelvic pain, and impaired fertility. Your doctors will be in a better position for future diagnosis and management by knowing all of your medical history.
