Colonoscopy: A negative colonoscopy is quite effective at reducing concern and therefore fear of an undetected cancer. There are established guidelines to the interval between colonoscopies depending on if polyps are found. If the fear is driven by someone in your family having had colon cancer, all the more reason to get a scope.
