Maybe: Disocoid lupus can cause localized s raring but 5 per cent of the cases are associated with systemic lupus which needs monitoring and approriate treatment. Discuss with the pediatrician.

Please clarify: Are you inquiring if your having discoid lupus will have effect on your child's health? If you have the disease, it not likely to affect the child. If the child has discoid lupus, it is, unfortunately, a life long affliction and may result in scarring of sun exposed skin. Preventing exposure to sun through proper clothing, hats, and sun screen should help.
