Compression, motion: The hand works like a pump...Motion helps take out swelling, as does hand elevation. There are no magic medical potions, unless there is an inflammatory cause, in which case, anti-inflammatory medicines can help.

Yes: Watch your salt intake. Natural anti-oxidants/anti-inflammatories such as pomegranate extract, pycnogenol, arnica, turmeric, omega-3 efas, white willow bark, green tea, boswellia serrata resin, bromelain (pineapple extract) might help.
