Prevention is key: It sounds like you need to get on a prophylactic medication to reduce the number and severity of the headaches. I really consider this to be the mainstay of treatment. This will reduce your need for analgesics in the long run. I suggest you see a neurologist to discuss this. She will assess if triptans and migraine drug combos are suitable for you.
