Classic migraine: If you get a headache--this is a classic migraine--optical or visual migraines only have the flashing zig zag lights typically. There are several medicines that can be prescribed by you internist to help prevent or decrease the headache.

Varies: Treatment can range from going to a quiet dark place and sleeping it off, to using cool compresses, taking over the counter tylenol (acetaminophen) or other headache type medicine (if you are not allergic to them). If you need further help, then prescription medications are the next step.
