Is cholesterol lever of 203 considered high?

Probably OK: Usually we suggest that the cholesterol level should be 200 or less, however there is more to it than just one number. There are good and bad cholesterol particles (hdl and ldl) and well as other aspects of the cholesterol readings. It also depends on whether you have other medical problems such as diabetes or heart disease. A reading of 203 is problem ok, but i would check with your doctor.

It's borderline.: High reading is above 240. The number is relative. Check also your hdl(good cholesterol) and the total cholesterol/ HDL ratio. A high HDL offsets the impact of an elevated total cholesterol. Also check your LDL ( bad cholesterol) and triglycerides.
