Arthropod?: Have you been bitten by a bug? Have you touched anything which might be toxic and to which you might react? If this turns red, hot, remains tender or increases in size or changes begin to involve any other part of the hand go to an er and see a docror asap. Otherwise, relax and think about things that may have caused this.
