Possibly: Meniscal tears are often traumatic , so it's possible that when you fell on your knee the meniscus tore. There could also be a different cause, such as patellar (kneecap) injury or bursitis.

Torn meniscus: It may be a torn meniscus (cartilage). It can only be diagnosed by doing MRI or a cat scan of the knee after examination by your doctor of an orthopedic doctor. So make an appointment and see what it is.

Lytes/hydration: We all get that sometimes, like the calf then the top of the foot. Be sure your electrolytes are normal by consulting your md for lab and exam for pulses. Allow good blood flow with good hydration and not compressing your blood flow with folded legs and tight clothing. Overexertion and dehydration also causes that, again needing good hydration.

Go to the ER: It's important for a physician to look and see if there is any glass left in the wound. You should go to the emergency room, where that can be done. They may be able to do an X-ray first and see if glass is there; sometimes glass shows up on an X-ray. Then they can remove it for you, so that you don't develop more pain and/or an infection.

White spots: Could very well be nothing at all. A picture would be of help. If your mom says they have always been there, then I would not worry so much. Keep on eye on them and if they persists then see a dermatologist.
