Almost : Diabetic neuropathy causes pain and can lead to ulcers in the feet. But a lot more can be going on. A good place to start is the foot doctor's office. They can tell you about ingrown nails and even about signs of neuropathy and how to take care of your feet with or without those problems.

Have it evaluated.: Possible signs of having an ingrown nail may include: pain increased redness, swelling, bleeding, tightness or drainage at the nail margins. If pain does not improve, or you develop signs of infection, get it evaluated by a professional.
