No: Combivent (albuterol and ipratropium) (or albuterol) should not be used as the sole agent to control your asthma. In fact, if used regularly, it may make your asthma worse. Contact your family doctor to get you on a controller drug (eg. Inhaled steroid) if you have asthma more than twice a week.
