I have been having to take me emergency asthma inhaler multiple times throughout the day. usually it isnt this bad. how can i knock this out for good? im preparing to leave town tomorrow.

May need steroids: An asthma patient has episodes of bronchoconstriction (airways tighten up) plus swelling of the airways and increased mucus. "Emergency" inhalers like albuterol relax and open up airways; inhalers like Flovent (steroid) prevent or decrease swelling and mucus. In more severe attacks, extra oxygen is given, as well as oral or injectable steroids (prednisone). Doctor can examine and help.
