6-8 times a day?: If this is what you mean you are not being controlled. Rescue inhalers are exactly that- for a rescue. I would first get tested by your physician to determine any damage from long term lack of control. Then follow his/her recommendations regarding treatment. The proper control can reduce lung damage.
