Omega-3s vs omega-6s: Some believe our modern diet that is heavy in omega-6s may be responsible for a variety of ills ranging from coronary artery ds to auto-immune dss, obesity, etc. Thus the trend to emphasis omega-3s, which have anti-inflammatory properties. Omega-6s are involved in inflammation, blood clotting, & cell proliferation; so they are needed. But we need to reduce the current 10 to 1 ratio to 2 to1—>.
