What causes severe pain in face that runs into the front of my shoulder making it very difficult to do much of anything. meds don't seem to be working

Pulled muscle: You likely have a pulled or sores scale that runs fr the face to the shoulder. Use ice if it is early and warmth if it has been a few days. Take Motrin or tylenol (acetaminophen) for the pain and it should resolve itself ion a few days. If not see your doctor in a weeks time. Good luck.
