Yes: A blood test to check for ovulation is measuring serum progesterone. This is usually done in the third week of the cycle. An elevation of Progesterone is indicative of ovulation. However, the only true proof of ovulation is pregnancy.

Progesterone: It was probably a blood Progesterone level around cycle day 22. That simply tell you if you ovulated or not, it does not tell you when. Start testing with ovulation predictor kits around cycle day 11 to try and determine when you are ovulating.
