Addison's disease: Chronic adrenal insufficiency, hypocortisolism, and hypoadrenalism) is a rare endocrine disease. The adrenal glands do not produce sufficient steroid hormones (glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids). It may produce relatively nonspecific symptoms, such as abdominal pain and weakness, and generally diagnosed by lab tests and imaging studies.
